Will AI Agents Put Me Out of a Job?

Many of us are asking this question. It can be an unsettling feeling.
I am no exception, until I started using it on a daily basis and realized that it can help me do my work much more efficiently:
Research: market research, competitive analysis, everyday questions that I would ask Google are now answered by ChatGPT.
Writing: it can help polish my press releases, blog posts, checklists, messaging ideas and everyday posts.
Planning: the brainstorm feature of ChatGPT spits out campaign plans and any other plans I can possibly ask for.
Creative: making videos and images with the power of AI is faster and easier than ever before.
Here is where I still need to use my own brain:
Marketing strategy: there are nuances that need to be taken into account that cannot be done by the machine.
Editing of content: no matter how good ChatGPT is, there are things that still need to be polished and made relatable to a specific audience.
Targeting: defining which audience to go after in which channel and with what content and then setting it all up is still a very human and manual job.
Analysis of results: synthesizing and measuring results of targeting a specific audience across various “watering holes” will keep me busier than ever before.
Will AI agents eventually be able to do all the things I listed above? For sure. It’s already work in progress. There are AI agents who send prospecting emails, answer customer questions and much more. And this can free us to be more creative, more efficient and more focused on what matters most - reaching our target audience.
If only AI could cook dinner for my family…
